1. TOUCHMARK ON WEST CENTURY
THE{FULL}LIFE
July 2014
Learning the ins and outs of an iPad
Scott Weissman from the
Interagency Program for Assistive
Technology (IPAT) shared the
basics about iPads during a popular
class. For many, the class was the
first time learning how to use the
tablet. For others, it was a chance
to brush up on their skills.
KXNET featured the class and
interviewed resident Arloene
Laskowski, who uses an iPad
to email and video chat with
her family. To see the video,

Since the class was so popular, the Full Life team is already putting together another one.

Residents graced the Touchmark
runway with fashions from Attitudes
clothing store. A champagne social
and shopping in the lobby followed the
show.
A trip to Bessy’s Best in Sterling, North Dakota, gave residents
the opportunity to learn about the process and taste and
purchase locally made products from this family dairy farm.

“I enjoy knowing the residents and the people that work here. They are all
very friendly and helpful and call me by my name!”
