20. A 21st Century Creed In an age of anxiety, we believe that peace comes from Jesus Christ, the Son of God. In an age of confusion, we believe that the Bible is the Word of God, inerrant and infallible.
21. In an age of doubt, we believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. In an age of guilt, we believe that Jesus died on the cross to remove the power of sin and Satan from our lives.
22. In an age of reason, we believe that God is at work in the sacraments of Baptism and Communion. In an age of constant change, we believe in the unchanging Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
25. Oh what I would do to have The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I’m in And onto the crashing waves To step out of my comfort zone Into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is And he’s holding out his hand
26. But the waves they’re callin out my name and they laugh at me Reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed The waves they keep on telling me Time and time again Boy you’ll never win… you’ll never win
27. Refrain: But the voice of truth Tells me a different story The voice of truth says do not be afraid The voice of truth Says this is for my glory Out of all the voices calling out to me I will choose to listen and believe The Voice of Truth
28. Oh what I would do to have The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant With just a sling and a stone Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors Shaking in their armor As he’s holding out his hand
29. But the giant’s calling out my name and he laughs at me Reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed The giant keeps on telling me Time and time again Boy you’ll never win… you’ll never win
30. Refrain: But the voice of truth Tells me a different story The voice of truth says do not be afraid The voice of truth Says this is for my glory Out of all the voices calling out to me yeah

39. For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:20

44. I’ve tried to stand my ground I’ve tried to understand But I can’t seem to find my faith again Like water on the sand Or grasping at the wind I keep on falling short
45. So Please be my strength Please be my strength Cause I don’t have any more I don’t have any more
46. I’m looking for a place Where I can plant my faith One thing I know for sure I can not create it And I can not sustain it It’s your love that’s keeping me
47. Please be my strength Please be my strength Cause I don’t have any more I don’t have any more
48. L: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. C : If we walk in the light as God himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, God’s Son, cleanses us from all sin.
49. L: With steadfast love and wondrous grace, the Lord desires to make us clean. (Silence for self-examination) L: Almighty God,
50. C : You dwell in light unapproachable. Unprotected, we perish in your presence. For our hearts are darkened, our minds clouded; we call for night to cover our actions; we have often loved darkness rather than the light.
51. L: Jesus Christ is the light of the world, the light no darkness can overcome. C : Therefore, we look only to Jesus for the forgiveness we so desperately need.
52. L: As a Christ follower, God hears your prayer. “I choose to make you clean,” the Savior says.
53. C : We have seen Jesus’ glory and his victory in the empty tomb. Our sin debt has been paid in full. We are free to rejoice!

56. Oh You are my strength You are my strength You and you alone You keep bringing me back home It’s you and you alone Keep bringing me back home
62. Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
