Ladakh is a high altitude mountainous region bounded by the Karakoram Range from the north and the Great
Himalayas in the south. It is a land that abounds in awesome physical features set in an enormous and
spectacular environment. Often described as ‘Moonland’ on account of the unique lunar landscape, Ladakh was
an independent mountain kingdom for close to a millennium. Leh, the royal capital, was a major crossroads of
Asia and a stopping point on the ancient migration routes of the trans-Himalayas, connecting Central Asia with
the Indian sub-continent. Its landscape, sky, shooting stars, silence, wizened faces, rosy cheeks, dragons and
Zen - everything makes Ladakh a quite place to visit. This ethereal cold desert that goes by names such as 'The
Last Shangrila', Moonscape, Little Tibet and so many others - all of which ring true, is a land that seldom fails to
baffle or surprise. Ladakh, the land of jagged peaks and barren landscape is alluring and awe-inspiring.

Leh:Leh is one of the famous places of Ladakh region and the main commercial hub. Airport of Ladkh is also located in Leh.
Main attraction of Leh town is Namgyal Palace, which is a nine story building. Leh was an important centre of trade with
Central Asia from the ancient time. It was opened for tourism activities in 1974 for tourist coming from outside countries.
Zanskar Valley:Zanskar is one of the famous tourist attractions of Ladakh region because of its picturesque valleys. It is
located to the South of Leh town and surrounded by Zanskar and Himalayan ranges. The valley covers an areas of around
5,000 sq km and the average elevation is 13,154 feet. One has to cross through some of the highest passes of the world to
reach this region, which remain closed during the winter months because of the snowfall. It is very famous for its trekking
routes.
Nubra Valley: Nubra Valley means Valley of Flowers and is located to the North side of Leh town. The average height of the
valley above sea level is about 10,000 feet. Main attractions of the region are Bactarian Camels (Camels with double hump),
some of the beautiful ancient monasteries and Khardung La Pass, at an altitude of 18,350 feet.
Buddhist Monasteries in Ladakh:Ladakh is world over famous for its Buddhist monasteries, which are also known by the
name of Gompas. These monasteries house a number of Thankas, paintings and ancient Buddhist sculptures. Some of the
famous Buddhist monasteries of Ladakh are Likir Monastery, Spituk Monastery, Shanti Stupa, Hemis Gompa, Namgyal Tsemao
Gompa, Thiksey Monastery, Lamayuru Monastery, Shey Monastery and Phugal Gompa.
Tso Moriri Lake:It is a beautiful water body bounded by mountains, which expands around 240 km. It is located at an
altitude of 14,000 feet near to the Korzok village. It is located to the East direction of Leh town.
Pangong Lake:This beautiful lake is 2.4 miles in width, which is located at an altitude of 4,267 meters above sea level.
Turquoise colour of its water is the main attraction of the lake. 75 percent area of this lake is located in China and 25 percent
in India.

After breakfast, proceed on full-day sightseeing tour of the Alchi-Likir circuit, visiting first the impressively located 15th
century Likir monastery and then the 11th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic complex of Ladakh and famous for
its ancient frescoes and architecture - a UNESCO listed heritage site. After sightseeing and lunch here, drive back to Leh, en-
route visiting Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of
“Guardians’ or Gonkhang in Spituk monastery) and Hall of Fame (museum of military heritage & culture). Overnight at the
hotel.
Day 3: Leh –Pangong Lake :
Early departure for Pangong Lake (approx. 150 kms), via Chang-la pass (alt: 17370 ft./ 5486 meters) -3rd highest motorable
pass in the world. Pangong Lake (alt: 14,500 ft.) is 4-5 kms wide and about 140 kms long, of which about two-third lies on

the other side of the Indo-China border. Enjoy a full day of sightseeing around the lake and then check-in at a tented camp
near the lake for overnight stay, OR drive back for 30 kms to the small township of Tangtse for overnight stay at a hotel /
guest house.
Day 4: Pangong Lake –Leh:
After breakfast, leave Pangong / Tangtse and retrace the road to Leh re-crossing the Chang-la pass. Upon reaching Karu,
drive across the Indus and visit the famous Hemis Monastery, biggest and richest monastery and the principal seat of the
Drukpa- Kagyut monastic order in Ladakh. Dinner & overnight in the hotel.
Day 5: Leh-Khardung-La-Leh:
In the morning drive to Khardong-La (80 kms round trip), highest motorable pass in the world (alt: 18,380 ft.). Enjoy

Day 1: Srinagar-Sonamarg-Kargil- (205 kms):
After breakfast leave for Kargil, driving through Sonamarg and crossing the Zoji-la pass (11,500-ft./ 3,505 mtrs) enroute.
Drass, the first town over the pass is famous as the 2nd coldest inhabited place in the world. At an hour and half’s drive away
from Drass is Kargil, the 2nd largest town of Ladakh and headquarters of Kargil district. Dinner & overnight at the hotel in
Kargil.
Day 2: Kargil-Leh (235 kms):
Early departure for Leh, enroute viewing / visiting the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining ‘Moonland”
hills. On the way to Leh, visit Sanagm (confluence of the Indus & Zanskar rivers), view / check the Magnetic Point & then visit
Gurudwara Pathar Sahib & Hall of Fame (if in time). Overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Leh :
After leisurely breakfast, visit Shey Palace, Sindhu Ghat & Thiksey Monastery. Post lunch visit Shanti Stupa, Sankar Gompa,
Leh Palace and the markets. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 4: Leh- Pangong Lake -Leh :

Monastery in the Sumoor area. Later check- in at a fixed tent / hut camp in the same valley OR drive across to Deskit /

Day 6:Nubra Valley-Leh :
In the morning, drive to / explore Deskit (headquarters of Nubra), Hundar and the Sand Dunes. You can enjoy a short camel
safari amidst the sand dunes on the double humped Bactrian camels (optional). In the afternoon return to Leh, enroute

monastic complex famous for its wall frescoes and architecture - a UNESCO listed heritage site. Dinner & overnight in fixed
camp at Uleytokpo / Nurla.
Day 7: Uleytokpo / Nurla- Lamayuru-Kargil (135 kms.):
After breakfast leave for Kargil. On the way you can view / visit the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the
adjoining “Moonland” hills as its backdrop. Driving on to Kargil via the Fotu-la & Namika-la passes, reach Mulbek where you
can view the 9-Mtrs. tall rock sculpture of the Maitreya Buddha (7th –8th century AD) standing on the roadside. Kargil is at an
hour’s drive from here. Dinner & overnight in the hotel at Kargil.
Day 8: Kargil-Sonamarg-Srinagar (205kms):
Early departure for Srinagar via Drass, Zojila pass & Sonamarg. Drass is famous as the second coldest inhabited place in the

Day 1: Arrive Chandigarh-Manali ( 350 km)
Arrive Chandigarh. On arrival transfer to hotel at Manali. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Manali –Keylong ( 140 km): 3349 m,
After early breakfast drive to Keylong , over crossing the Picturesque Rohtang pass (3980 m) – the gateway to Lahaul & Spiti
valley. The first half of the terrain is gradual assent through green patches until we reach at the Rohtang pass. From the pass
we descend towards Koksar – an official tea stop, we at meet Chadra River (coming from Spiti) and continue to Keylong.
Overall terrain is fine except some bumps over the Rohtang pass. Arrive and stay overnight in hotel.
Day 3: Keylong–Sarchu ( 110 km): 4253 m,
Morning drive to Sarchu , over crossing Baralacha pass (4892 m). We follow the Bhaga River via Darcha till Patseo and then
assent to Baralacha pass and then descend towards Sarchu. You have to negotiate with the bumps at some places and have
to soak in water while crossing Small River. Arrive Sarchu, is the territorial mark between Himachal and Ladakh. Check in and
overnight at camp.
Day 4: Sarchu–Rumste ( 180 km): 5000 m,
Morning we leave been chanting composite of Sarchu-lingtiplains, the road climbs higher and suddenly mountains cape
encounter so far. Continuesly drive over the Lapchungla pass to be followed by the drive through the most remarkable
Sekyunehothang plains at the end of Tanglangla pass (5328 mtrs) considered as one of the highest motorable mountain pass
in the world. We camp at Rumtse located at the foot of the mighty Tanglangla pass after driving over the pass. O/n at camp.
Day 5: Rumste- Leh ( 100 KM):
After breakfast drive to Leh through the fertile Indus valley.
First we visit the Monastery Padmasambhavas, Buddhismus from Tibet after ladakh. Afterwards Tikse, the Grobten Monastery
still visits in Ladakh in Gelupka. Afternoon arrive Leh and check into hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Leh
Morning is free for rest. Afternoon visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar

Day 10:Uleytokpo: Lamayuru-Kargil (135 kms.):
After breakfast leave for Kargil, enroute visiting the dramatically located Lamayuru monastery and the adjoining “Moonland”
hills. On the way to Kargil you can view the 9-Mtrs. tall rock sculpture of the Maitreya Buddha at Mulbek (7th –8th century
AD). Overnight in hotel at Kargil.
Day 11:Kargil-Sonamarg-Srinagar (205kms):
Early departure for Srinagar driving through Drass (famous as the second coldest inhabited place in the world) and crossing
the Zoji-la Pass (11,500-ft. / 3,505 m) to reach hill station of Sonamarg from where it’s smooth driving through the beautiful
Kashmir countryside to reach Srinagar. Overnight in hotel at Srinagar.
Day 12:Departure Srinagar :
Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home

Please Note:-
1. Sequence of the day-wise tour program as listed above may change depending upon availability
of suitable accommodation at different places and other travel conditions.
2. Overnight staying options at Pangong Lake & Tsomo-riri Lake are mainly in tented
accommodation/standard cottage with basic & limited facilities. Visitors must be prepared to pass the
night at a place where temperature may be quite low even at the height of the summer. The stress
of passing the night at high altitude is also to kept in mind.
3. Overnight staying option in the Uleytokpo, Nubra Valley is mainly in tented accommodation or
standard hotels with facilities which may not be of the same standard as in the hotels being used for
the package in Leh.
4. All prevailing State and Government taxes applicable on accommodation and transport. In case
any hike in the taxes a surcharge will be applicable
5. Suggested hotels are subject to availability at the time of booking. In case the same is not
available, then the best similar category will be provided
6. The tour cost is not refundable at any cause, once tour starts. No refund on un-utilized services of
the packages. Places / sites not visited as per the given tour route of the day, the same spot will not
be revisited on guest’s request except on extra payment.
7. The tour guide reserves the rights to make changes/detour or omit any place of visit, if it
becomes necessary due to bad weather, bad road, strike or band and security reason
8. Tourist will carry their luggage at own risk and responsibility.
9. Itinerary may change due to any climatic condition / non availability of rooms /other natural
circumstances.
10. Ladakh is high Altitude destination; hence Ladakh trip is not recommended for people with poor
heart condition, Epilepsy and asthma.
11. Ladakh holiday trip is completely different from other holiday, please realize the hazards involved
in this kind of holiday; including injury, disease, inconvenience and discomfort due to weather,
mechanical breakdown, local political conditions or other unforeseeable circumstances.
12. In Tent accommodation maximum 03 pax are allowed due to limited space.
13. The tourism infrastructure of Ladakh region is not very advanced & one should not expect &
match the hotel & transport service with the plains & other developed destinations. Flexibility is the
whole philosophy of this type of tour. One requires and allows on trip alternatives due to untoward
reasons.

TRANSPORT:
The pricing is for groupings of 02, 04 & 06 pax sharing 01 CAR ( NAC Qualis / Tavera /Scorpio ). Pls note we do
not use smaller cars in Ladakh due to the topographical factor, which requires heavy vehicles. Supplement cost
for Innova/Zylo will be on request.
