Anatomical viewpoints
We can look at the human body in a number of different ways:
Anterior (front view)
Posterior (back view)
Medial (towards the midline of the body)
Lateral (away from the midline of the body)
Proximal (towards the attached end of a limb)
Distal (away from the attached end of a limb)
Superior (towards the top of the body)
Inferior (towards the bottom of the body)
