On 20th May 2014 Matt Cutts, the head of Google's Webspam team, confirmed on his twitter account (@mattcutts) that the Panda 4.0 update is being rolled out. Prior to this confirmation of an updated Panda rollout, there had been quite a lot of speculation about a change to either Panda or Penguin, although it was unclear what the changes would entail. The new Panda 4.0 will affect the ranking of websites mostly dependant on the quality of the content on their sites.
