hello! After 11 years of hard work and dedication, it comes with great sadness
to announce that ryan lewis will be stepping down as the president of tundra.
From 30 employees to over 150 and from 7,000 products to over 80,000, it has
been an exciting journey with ryan. He will certainly be missed, but we’re eager to
welcomeryan'ssuccessor,Waynelajoie.Afteryearsofexperienceindistribution
with Grainger and staples, Wayne comes to tundra with the enthusiasm and
fervor we need to help support our expanding customer base, as well as the
tundra spirit we all love.
As we sat down to discuss the theme of this flyer with Wayne, we were glad to
learn that he was as passionate about special dietary needs as we were. He
expressed how his own dietary limitations create a real challenge to find the right
foods, and how it ultimately impacts his family. Wayne explained how it’s hard
to find places for him and his family to eat out and how, understandably, this is
a growing problem for families across the country. With special diets, like gluten
intolerance and soy allergies, climbing at an alarming rate, we have to start to ask
ourselves if the way restaurants are delivering themselves to the public are in the
right light? If restaurants are able to highlight their ability to cater to customers’
needs and safety, the results could only be positive — more peace of mind, more
customers, more revenue!
In welcoming our new president and bringing awareness to the substantial

You’ve likely heard about the top eight allergy ingredients,
but do you know what it means to be gluten free? Gluten
is a protein that is found in grains, including the barley
used to make beer, wheat, rye, and triticale (a mix
between wheat and rye). Celiac disease is the term used
to describe people that have an autoimmune response that attacks their
digestive system when they ingest gluten.
The good news is that most people with gluten intolerance and celiac
