On June 12, 1929, at 7:30 A.M. a baby girl was born in Frankfurt, Germany. No one realized that
this infant, who was Jewish, was destined to become one of the world's most famous victims of
World War II. Her name was Anne Frank, and her parents were Edith Frank Hollandar and Otto
Frank. She had one sister, Margot, who was three years older than she was. Anne led a happy and
normal childhood, and on her 13th birthday she received a diary from her parents. It became
special to her as years went by. It is through this diary that much about World War II and Anne's life
has been learned. In 1933, her and her family left Frankfurt, a large Jewish community, and settled in

The crime was hiding. On September 3, 1944, aboard the last transport to leave the Netherlands,
Anne's family and those who were with them, were brought to the Auschwitz–Birkenau
extermination camp. By then more than 100,000 Dutch Jews had been deported. This last
transport held 498 men, 442 women, and 79 children a total of 1,019 people. This transport
arrived in Aushwitz during the night of September 5. Right after they got there, men and women
were separated. The following day, 549 people from this last transport, among them all the
children less than 15 years of age, were sent to the gas chambers, where they would be killed.
Women who had not been selected for extinction had to walk to the Birkenau women's camp.
Edith Frank and her daughters were among them. This camp was known as a "death
camp". They had a goal to get rid of all the Jews and Gypsies. By September 1944, almost
two million people had been gassed. After the arrival of the last transport from Westerbork, there
were about 39,000 people in the women's camp. Margot and Anne stayed there for almost two
months. They were then to be shipped to Bergen–Belsen. Mrs. Frank didn't want to leave her
daughters, so she stayed with them until they were shipped away. On January 6, 1945, Edith Frank

Anne Frank I've been reading about Anne Frank. She was a writer; she, tells about her stories
about life. She would write stories about what goes on in other people's lives and also her friends.
Anne was very much a chatterbox, she would never stop talking about stuff. However; Anne, was
forced to speak in only a whisper voice during the two years of hiding from the Nazis. Hiding from
the Nazis was the hardest thing she had to do without talking much, but she still wrote stories and

While in the annex Anne gained some life lessons that are fairly significant. Despite entering hiding
at only thirteen years of age she started to have trouble understanding how the world was changing.
Confused on who she should ask she was left alone to her own thoughts wandering about through the
words of her diary. This made her rethink many moments of her life which helped her gain many
lessons about friendship, love, and emotions. This proved that even in hard times Anne is continuing
to be observant of what she can learn while staying in the annex. The life lessons that Anne gains are

How would you feel if you had to go into hiding for 2 years? Anne Frank had to go into hiding

Growing up, I didn't often meet kids named Anne. I was always told my name was "a classic" or it
was very "simple". My siblings and I all had these "classic" names and none of us knew why. Once
when I was about 9, I decided to ask. Why was my name Anne? What was the significance of the
name? My answer was Anne Frank. Most people know the story of Anne Frank. She went from a

Hitler had a rough childhood. His father was stern and his mother was the same. They both died
when Hitler was young and impressionable. He aspired to be an artist, but when he applied to the
art institute, he was rejected. Later on, he tried again, but to no avail, he had failed again. Since his
dreams of being a artist were crushed he enlisted in the German army. He had been injured twice,
once in the eyes. When he was on leave for his second injury, Germany submitted their surrender.
Hitler thought of this as betrayal after all he had fought for. Also he considered this a sign that the
strong Germany he knew was gone.
At first he tried to take control of the country by force, but that didn't pan out as well as he
thought it would. After his defeat he was captured and sent to jail. His jail time was short lived,

decided that the best way to take over the country would have to be legally. He later joined forces

Jews been persecuted worldwide as they were in World War II. Anne Frank's diary reaches a place
within all of our hearts because it reminds us how easily the innocents can suffer. Sometimes we

Many of these secret homes were on busy streets that Nazis patrolled frequently. AnneFrank's family
was one of these Jews and took up residence in the hidden rooms above her father's former office.
As the end of the war neared, Nazi soldiers began to get worried and cared less about apprehending

and the women were continually being eyed by the lonely, watching soldiers. Some women were

seemed to managed. For those who were in hiding, they tried to be regulated with their new way of
living–whether it was temporary or not. Jewish children and their families attempted to normalize
their situation and started practicing activities they would regularly do. Anne Frank and Menachem
Frenkel continued their studies. Anna continued to attend school. However, based on the play The
Diary of Anne Frank, Anne Frank and the other members of the Annex still celebrated Jewish

Most kids these days would hid and cry when conflict this bad occurs but instead she stepped up
and sang rather than crying. This little girl stepped up and made everyone happy and acted like a
