2. WORDPRESS - BLOG
• In order to submit my advanced portfolio
piece, I created a WordPress blog which would act as my own website
so that I had somewhere I could present all of my work.
• Every piece of work I had completed this year that has anything to do
with my music video has been uploaded to this website.
• This blog has been used all the time and is relevant for all stages of
creating the music video and has acted as an effective way of showing
all my research, planning and my final evaluation responses as well as
showing the completed music video.
3. CAMERAS – FILMING & PHOTOS
• The cameras were also used throughout construction.
• When filming, I used three different cameras to create the multi-cam
performance element and a singular camera for filming everything
else.
• A camera was also used to take photos to be used for the magazine
advert.
• The camera would only be relevant in the research and planning
stages as it was not only used for filming but was also used to take
pictures of work so that it could be uploaded to the blog.
4. PREMIERE PRO – Video Editing
• Premiere Pro was the video editing program I used to edit every video
that has been uploaded to my blog.
• This software has been used right from the beginning where I
attempted to copy a music video and re-create it to the production of
my final music video for Ride.
• This was used for construction, research and planning in order to
allow me to make effective research and effective detailed plans and
allowed me to create whatever I wanted when it came to constructing
my final music video.
5. ADOBE AUDITION – Sound Editing
• The song used for my music video was Ride by Lana Del Rey.
• Towards the end of the song there is a swear word and this is
something that I didn’t want to be included in the video.
• In order to get rid of this I used audition to reverse the swear word so
that it was actually sung backwards.
• This made it unrecognisable and eliminated the use of swearing from
my video but also allowed the audience to understand that originally
there would have been a swear word there.
• This featured in the construction stage of my music video.
6. INTERNET
• Without the internet, it would’ve been impossible to create anything.
• The internet was used in every stage of the construction, research,
planning and evaluation of my music video.
• Without it, I would’ve still been able to create my music video but I
wouldn’t be able to display my findings in an effective way.
• I also wouldn’t be able to publish my video in any way unless it was
on a disk but then that makes it more difficult to show to the
audience as it was only a piece of coursework and not an actual
professional music video that could be bought.
7. PREZI – Research & Planning
• I used Prezi to show evidence of my research and planning in a way
that was visually appealing.
• I also used it to add PDF files to as they are not compatible with
WordPress and can’t be uploaded as that file type.
• This allowed me to demonstrate my work and my findings in an
interesting manner that used a technology that wasn’t so well known.
• The Prezi files are now embedded into my blog so that they can be
seen in the research and planning stages of my music video.
8. MOOVLY, SCREENCASTOMATIC & VOKI-
Evaluation
• These are the different programs I used for my evaluation questions
which I hadn’t used in any other stage of creating my music video.
• Moovly allowed me to create an animated video which I used for
question three with a voiceover to show what was being said.
• ScreenCastOMatic allowed me to turn what was on my screen into a
video and allowed me to talk over it so that I could answer the
question in a more interesting way.
• Voki allowed me to create an avatar that I could then type in what I
wanted it to say and it would speak it in time with it’s lips.
9. YOUTUBE – Video Uploading
• YouTube is another program which I used throughout every part of
creating my music video. It allowed me to upload videos I had created
using Premiere Pro and put them on my blog via an embed link.
• I used it to upload all the videos I had created during the research and
planning stages and to also display my final music video.
• Without it, I wouldn’t have had such an effective way of
demonstrating my research and planning and wouldn’t have been
able to share my music video in order to gain feedback for my
evaluation question number three.
