OTHER NOTABLE CHANGES FOR 2010-11 Wind Energy Challenge - Rule 9: Energy source… Has been changed to the LASKO 3733 fan, although equivalent fans will be allowed -Rule 12: NO MORE LAMPS A 10 Ohm Resistor will now be used in place of the lamp -Rule 16: Measuring power At the National Event, we will use Vernier Equipment and Logger Pro to measure average power. OTHER METHODS ARE ALLOWED. NOTE: For competition hosts, I strongly recommend using an automated method to measure power. Although last year’s standard measuring set-up of multi-meters works in a classroom, measurements can be inaccurate. This year, with 3 samples needed from the multi-meters, it will more difficult still
