12. Highland Theological College UHI
A community of faith and scholarship

Highland Theological College UHI is located in the
centre of the thriving market town of Dingwall in
Ross-shire, nestling between Ben Wyvis and the
Cromarty Firth. A safe, relaxed environment with
good local amenities such as shops, restaurants
and leisure facilities, Dingwall combines town and
country living to offer a lifestyle to suit everyone.
Campus
HTC is one of the smaller UHI colleges. The low
student:staff ratio means that staff and students
get to know each other well, contributing to the
family atmosphere and excellent support. HTC
specialises in theology but, as part of the UHI
community, also has students from networked

21. SAMS UHI
First class science facilities in a stunning marine environment

The Scottish Association for Marine Science UHI
(SAMS UHI) is located on Dunstaffnage bay on the
west coast of Scotland, three miles from the busy
seaside town of Oban. This is a premier diving and
yachting area, with easy access to the mountains
of Glencoe and ferry connections to the Western
Isles.

SAMS UHI is one of the UK’s leading independent
marine research institutes with a distinguished 125
year history. Our young and dynamic staff currently
