co-organized by Turkish Grand National Assembly Equal
Opportunities Commission for Woman and Man and
United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in
between January 2012 and June 2013.
Regional Information and Experience Sharing Platforms
aimed to internalize the concept of gender equality at
local and national level and raise awareness.

3. Regional Information and Experience Sharing Platforms-II
Regional meetings were considered to be an important
opportunity in terms providing a stage where the present
situation, needs and activities carried out up-to-date on
gender equality were discussed in presence of
representatives from civil society organizations and all
concerned institutions and organizations.

4. Expected Outcomes from Regional Information and
Experience Sharing Platforms
Increased level of awareness and perception on gender
equality among general public, including both men and
women,
Decreased level of prejudices on gender equality among
general public, including both men and women,
Developed recommendation package to strengthen the
coordination and cooperation among concerned
institutions and organizations for the efficient
implementation of the plans and programmes on gender
equality.
