• Choose a box with enough room for cushioning material around the contents. If you’re
reusing a box, cover up or black out any old labels and markings.
• Place cushioning around your items to ensure contents are stationary.
• Powdery/liquid items need to be double wrapped in case something breaks or leaks in
transit, to contain spill.
• Tape your box shut and reinforce the seams
with 2" wide tape. Use clear or brown
packaging tape, reinforced packing tape,
or paper tape.
Mailing Tips – Proper Packaging

A review of various community feedback methods (ICE, Facebook,
emails, etc.) for the month of May 2013 has identified the following
issues of general interest to the community. The purpose of this brief
is to provide further clarification to those issues.
•Issue 1: Why are American Express, Discover and AAFES Military Star
(GOLD) cards no longer accepted at MWR activities?
•Issue 2: Is it possible for the SHA Theater to post unexpected schedule
changes on the Garrisons’ Facebook page if they are not able to show the
movies that are advertised on the AAFES Reel Time website?

If you’re reusing a box, cover up or black out any old labels and markings. • Place cushioning around your items to ensure contents are stationary. • Powdery/liquid items need to be double wrapped in case something breaks or leaks in transit, to contain spill. • Tape your box shut and reinforce the seams with 2" wide tape.
