16. This is Jodi's second year as the UW-Eau Claire ALD-PES
advisor. She is looking forward to working with the
members to continue the strong tradition of recognizing
and honoring academic achievement at UW-Eau Claire. She
has loved her second year working with the officer team
and getting to know more about the amazing organization.
She enjoys the strong commitment to scholarship and the
strong work ethic of the officer team. They are building an
active organization at UW-Eau Claire.
University Position: Associate Dean of Students
Website: Dean of Students Office
Email: thesinjm@uwec.edu
Jodi has worked at UW-Eau Claire for twenty-one years
Jodi is an honorary member of ALD and PES, she was
inducted in 2008
18. B.O.B. is an event held each semester for students to get to know
the campus organizations. We had information for incoming
freshmen and requested that they sign up for an email list to
receive information about upcoming ALD-PES events and for a
special invitation to our Freshman Study Bags event in December.

19. We held a Welcome Back to School Fall Mixer this
year where we ate nachos and played outdoor
games. One of the games we played was Kubb. Eau
Claire is the Kubb capital of North America and the
game is becoming very popular both in the
community and on our campus so we thought this
would be the perfect opportunity to combine a piece
of the community with our organization on campus.
We also played bean bags and listened to music
while we discussed upcoming events for the year.
20.
21. Abigail, Caitlin, Emily, and Gabriel attended the
Alpha Lambda Delta National Leadership Workshop
in Minneapolis this Fall. This year we broke record
numbers by sending four representatives from
UW-Eau Claire to Minneapolis, two attendees, one
Order of the Torch representative and one National
Council member. Everyone had a great time at the
workshops and spending the afternoon at the Mall
of America before the banquet.

22. A long-standing UW-Eau Claire ALD-PES tradition, we
planned our annual Caught Studying Bags for the Fall
semester mid-terms. We made 200 bags, which include
organization information, candy and study tips for
other students to use and are passed out in the library
and dorms on campus.
23. This was the first year we completed
a membership survey. This survey
asked our members what they were
interested in and what events they
wanted to take part in whether they
were more social, volunteer, or
educational related. This helped us
better serve our members as an
executive board.
24. We had 15 people in attendance at our
Resume, Cover Letter, Interview Skills
presentation.
25.
26. For the past three years, we have given out study
bags to freshmen before their first round of
college finals. They include a variety of treats and
tips for studying. We made 300+ bags to hand
out for freshmen and handed out all of them!
Left to Right: Kimberly James, Kaitlyn Wilberding,
Morgan Freeburg, Meghan Smith, Benjamin Hanson
27. Each year we hold at least two
information sessions for new
members to come see what
ALD-PES is all about at
UW-Eau Claire. These sessions have a
short presentation and offer a lot of
time for inductees to ask questions.
