1. MP Billy Gordon owes $19K in child support, ex-partner says

Another of Billy Gordon's ex-partners has come forward with accusations of unpaid child support and
violent behaviour, saying the embattled Queensland MP owes more than $19,000.
The woman, named only as Sasha, told the Nine Network's A Current Affair she left Mr Gordon
because of his violent behaviour.
In an interview aired on Friday, she said Mr Gordon "took a swing" at her while she was seven
months pregnant.
The mother of two of Mr Gordon's children accused him of controlling behaviour, and "constant
verbal, physical and emotional abuse".
"I got up, I walked away with my children because that's not the type of life I want for myself or my
children," she told the program.
She added that Mr Gordon had asked her in text messages not to speak to the media.
It comes a week after another of Mr Gordon's former partners, Kristy Peckham, aired her own claims
of domestic abuse and unpaid child support.
"I wasn't allowed to go anywhere and there was so much violence," Ms Peckham told A Current
Affair.
Labor Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said, ahead of the second interview airing on Friday night,
that she had informed police of the new allegations.
"The matter is under police investigation. I'm not going to comment any further," she said.
The allegations first came to light as Mr Gordon was being sworn in as a member of the minority
government in March.
Ms Palaszczuk, who was set to sack Mr Gordon before he resigned from the party, and the LNP
Opposition have both called on the Cape York-based MP to quit Parliament over the allegations.
Yet Mr Gordon is standing firm and Labor will require his support to pass legislation next week
when Parliament resumes for the first time since he left the party.
He has denied the domestic violence claims made by Ms Peckham, and in March told Parliament
that his child support payments were up to date.

2. He could face up to seven years in jail if found to
have knowingly lied to Parliament.
He has said he must be afforded natural justice as
a police investigation is carried out.
Mr Gordon has been contacted for comment.
