- 3. Resistance – people generally don’t like to change the way
they do things. Sometimes they have had bad experiences
with other products.
Process – employees may not fully understand how the new
product can transform their existing business processes.
Experience – if an employee has had a lot of experience with
the previous product he/she may not believe in the
advantages of the new one, even if its better.

- 4. Expectations – communication between the vendor, users, and
management needs to be clear on what is being done, by
whom, and when.
Analysis – costs vs. benefits analysis for all stakeholders
is critical, otherwise one person’s gain might be another
person’s pain.
Training – inadequate training will delay the implementation
and increase opposition.

- 5. Usability – the product is not user friendly, i.e. the UI (user
interface) may be great but the UX (user experience) may not
be, or vice versa.
Effort – it takes too long to install, setup, and get the new
product running across the organization.
Involvement – users need to be involved from Day 1,
otherwise they are less likely to accept or adopt the product
later.

transparency into what’s going on in the organization, even
though they delivery benefits via productivity, time, and cost
savings.

technical environments.
