1. Example of an Amendment
The Senate has decided that the Constitution is lacking
information about the rights of citizens to not be submitted
to the death penalty. So they decide to make an addition to
the Constitution in order to make it against the submit
anyone to the death penalty. They ratify it by a 2/3 vote
and so does the House. They then send it to the state
Legislatures who ratify it with a ¾ vote officially making it
an amendment of the Constitution of the United States of
America.
