2. Central Idea
People’s actions have
an effect on the
world.
Lines of Inquiry
1. People have a positive
influence on air pollution.
2. People have a negative
influence on air pollution.
3. People working together to
reduce air pollution have
the power to make a
change.
3. Key Concepts
FORM
What is it like to live in a polluted environment?
CHANGE
How does air pollution change the world?
PERSPECTIVE
How is a country with lots of air pollution different
from a country with not a lot of air pollution?
4. It’s really bad. People get really sick and get lung
problems. Also, air pollution makes it really tough
to breathe.
Air pollution changes the world because it impacts
the quality of life. Crops are affected when
chemicals get in the soil. People around the world
are negatively impacted by poor quality food.
5. A country with a lot of air pollution is less safe
than a country with not a lot of air pollution
because the quality of air is unhealthy.
6. Action Plan
Our action plan was to educate the fourth
graders in our school. We made a power point
presentation on air pollution explaining the
cause of air pollution, how we can help reduce
air pollution, and little fun facts too. Our
presentations lasted about 10 minutes
because we had a lot of facts.
