Subject: Request for urgent actions -
To: chairperson@nac.nic.in
Dear Chairperson
Further to our previous communication, we further take this opportunity to submit our request
for justice to the soldiers and veterans of this country.
Somehow constant lack of response from UPA govt ignoring our requests is giving an
impression of total insensitivity towards genuine demands of soldiers, veterans, their families
and supporters.
The fact is that state itself is victimising them and denying the fundamental rights as given in
our constitution.
we once again request you to please look into our demands and
1. Form a Separate Ministry for welfare and re-settlement of soldiers as is the norm in all
democracies across the world or form a commission on lines of minority commission.
2. Constitute a Judicial Commission to redress the grievances of veterans as directed by
honourable Supreme Court.
3. Give political representations to veterans in Rajya Sabha and also nominate candidates for
Loksabha ( 26% of present Senators in US are veterans).
Our demands are once again attached for your perusal and suitable redressed.
I request you not to put this e mail in normal file procedures of the Govt but take this
seriously to be addressed at the highest political levels.
We 'Veterans For Democracy' have taken a call to wait till 30 Oct to see the response of UPA
Govt. And if the present empathy continues then to launch a NO CONGRESS campaign
starting from 1 Nov for 5 years.
We have full faith in your leadership and expect a suitable and effective action plan.
Regards
Colonel Ashok Kumar Singh
