2. The idea.
Actions and measurements that can be huge.
Being well prepared is the safest measure in responding to an earthquake. Unfortunately, many
people forget about the basic, essential items that are incredibly helpful to have around after a quake.
We used our concept, “This can be huge after an earthquake,” to develop a brand sticker, highlighting
our respective media.

3. 01.
Bus shelter
We will utilize bus shelters to provide a simple, friendly reminder that a basic portable lantern can
be a major help after an earthquake. The media will make use of pre-existing fluorescent lighting,
illuminating the lantern at night to literally demonstrate the importance of having a light source in
the dark. The poster will contain informational branding, directing people to the website.

4. 02.
Matchbook Board
We will utilize outdoor boards in areas that
experience heavy foot traffic. The media
will have actual matchbooks that people
can remove and keep. As the matchbooks
are removed, a poster will be revealed,
providing information and directing people
to the website. Additionally, each matchbook
will be branded.

6. 03.
Power Generator

A generator can be extremely useful in the
event power is lost after an earthquake.
They have the ability to power a variety of
devices and equipment that require significant
electricity to operate. A refrigerator is a
perfect example, since it would prevent
food from spoiling.

7. 04.
Earthquake supplies
vending machine
A vending machine in need is a real vending
machine indeed. An earthquake supplies
vending machine would be set up in Bart
Station. It will sell bottled water, flashlights,
canned food, batteries, etc. The goal of this
idea is to provide real supplies to our audience
and tell them these things are important
after an earthquake. It is also a reminder
that people need to have extra cash with
them in the event of an earthquake.

phones. That is the idea behind the “iCandle”
application. This application uses the light
from cell phones to help people during a
blackout. Through web banners, people
will be able to access a link where they can
download the “iCandle” application for their
iPhones. The message we want to deliver
is “A candle can be huge after an earth-
quake.” And if you don’t have a candle,
that’s fine, you can use iCandle instead.
