2. • My magazine targets the demographic by featuring material in the
contents page such as reviews from record stores which could appeal to
the older age groups of my audience such as 20 year olds who may be part
of the vinyl renaissance.
• The models used are all female which possibly insinuates that the female
demographic is more receptive to this type of magazine. This subverts
general perceptions that indie-rock is more aimed at male audiences.
3. • In terms of the costumer profile, my consumer audience’s interests will lie
on what everyone else of their same age group is doing, for example,
programmes aimed at young adults such as comedy; The Big Bang Theory,
The Mindy Project and Scrubs are what my consumer enjoys watching.
Seeing as they are of a modern time in today’s society, they would prefer
not to listen to the radio and especially not radio stations like Capital FM
where radio airplay only consists of mainstream music.
