DENSO to Establish a New Manufacturing Facility in India
KARIYA (Japan) - In an effort to support increasing vehicle production in India,
DENSO will build a new manufacturing facility in Jhajjar, Haryana, India, that will
produce small motors for products, such as windshield wipers, power windows
and engine cooling modules. DENSO's new facility, DENSO HARYANA Pvt. Ltd.
(DNHA), Jhajjar Plant which represents an investment of about 2.7 billion rupees
(approximately US$ 52.2 million), will employ about 450 people.
Construction of the plant begins in May 2012 and start of production will begin in
July 2013.
"As India is one of our most important markets with a high growth potential, the
new manufacturing facility will enhance our current production capacity and help
better serve our customers in India," said Michio Adachi, DENSO's executive
director in charge of the Powertrain Control Systems Business Group. "The new
facility will supply products mainly to customers that have production bases in
Northern India, including Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors and other automakers."
The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers estimates that India's vehicle
production will reach 6.5 million units in fiscal 2015, up from 3.7 million units in
fiscal 2010.

10. JK Cement Industrial Plant
J.K. Cement Ltd. has added yet another feather to its cap with the
announcement of its maiden overseas plant at Fujairah, UAE which has a
capital outlay of US $ 150 million. The plant’s foundation stone laying
ceremony was held on November 14th, 2011in the presence of His Highness
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi - Crown Prince of Fujairah. Also
gracing the occasion were Shri Yadupati Singhania – MD & CEO, J.K. Cement
Ltd., Shri Raghavpat Singhania – Special Executive, Mr. A.K. Saraogi – CFO &
President (CA), Mr. N. Gowrishankar – Unit Head (J.K. Cement Works,
Fujairah) and Mr. D. Ravisankar – President, J.K. Cement Works, Nimbahera.
Expected to commission production by end of 2013, the plant is being set up in
technical collaboration with M/s. Taheiyo Engineering Corporation of Japan
who are pioneers in the field and have the most modern quality control and
environment friendly technology. The capacity of the Grey cum White cement
plant is slated to be at 1,750 tonnes per day (tpd) for White Cement clinker and
2,800 tonnes per day (tpd) Grey cement clinker. With the commissioning of
this plant, the Company would become one of the top 3 producers of White
Cement in the World.

having being laid, J.K. Cement Ltd is set to spread its wings and explore

have a capacity of 0.6 million tones per annum for White Cement with a
flexibility to change over its operation to produce up to 1 million tones per
annum of Grey Cement. The plant shall have the flexibility to have 100% white
cement, a mix both of white cement and grey cement or 100% grey cement,
depending upon the market demand. Thus, the Company plans to cater to the

Split Grinding Unit at Jhajjar
The Company is putting up a split grinding unit of 1.5 mio tpa at Jharli,
Dist., Jhajjar, Haryana with an investment of Rs 400 Crore. Modern
machinery is being sourced from renowned cement machinery
manufacturer M/s Thyssen Krupp. Commissioning of this plant is
scheduled by June 2014. Construction of boundary wall has already
started and civil work will be in full swing by mid of Dec. 2012
The plant will source its raw material from both internal and external
sources such as fly ash from NTPC power plant and clinker for
grinding from Nimbahera and Mangrol This site is very well connected
by rail & road and the necessary infrastructure is available for
operation of this plant.
From Jharli grinding unit, we will be able to cater to major markets like
Delhi, Haryana & Punjab more effectively and logistically.
