1. Villa Ferraia in Tuscany

Villa Ferraia is a restored
medieval hamlet dating back
to 1204, located twenty-six
kilometers south of Siena on
top of a secluded
mountaintop. It consists of 13
double and 2 single bedrooms
with sizes varying from 15 to 20 square meters. Tastefully
simple, yet luxurious, each en-suite bedroom boasts a flat
screen television, fine linens and towels, Florentine soaps
and shampoos, and private bath, all to ensure a relaxing
and comfortable stay.
Located in the heart of Tuscany, Villa Ferraia lies just 30 minutes
southwest of Siena, one hour from Florence (62 miles). A shuttle
service is available for pick up and drop off of clients.

The attractively furnished dining room seats 30 guests. Outside
the Tuscan conservatory, there is a spectacular outdoor covered
dining area where up to 200 guests can dine, weather permitting, or gather and enjoy the beauty of the
gardens and surrounding forests while enjoying a leisurely aperitif before dinner. Breakfast (Italian coffee,
fresh fruits and juices, yogurt, eggs, and an assortment of fine breads) is served in the dining room each
morning or on one of the outdoor terraces depending on the weather. Dinner will be a superb Tuscan
culinary experience featuring organic vegetables from the Villa’s own vegetable garden, fresh local
ingredients and accompanied by the finest wines of Tuscany.

Sunday Times described as “ the ridiculous inventory of extras” available at Villa Ferraia.
There are over 1,500 sq. m of living space and 25 hectares of
grounds to explore.
The property has an astronomical observatory complete with
a high-tech telescope far from the light pollution of modern
civilization. A Meade LX200R 14inch research telescope has
been installed complete with a seated viewing area and a 60
inch flat screen monitor. The Astronomical Society of Siena
will work the telescope while giving a private master class in
Astronomy.
A large, inviting, infinity swimming pool overlooks the
beautiful valley below. The lawn surrounding the pool
is dotted with sunbeds, chairs and umbrellas, providing
guests the perfect sunny position to relax and enjoy the
breathtaking views of the valley or the river Merse.
Adjacent to the pool is a relax center, consisting of
changing rooms private saunas and massage rooms.
The external part of the complex includes three
outdoor jacuzzis heated to different temperatures,
a frigidarium (cold), the tepidarium (tepid) and a
caldarium (hot) nestled on the edge of the forest.
Guests can start their circuit of the bath complex
with a sauna, progress to the heated swimming
pool and then to the roman-styled hottubs.
Masseurs can be ordered to enhance the
experience.
Organized horse tours through ancient forests dotted
with fortified villages, castles, ruins, terraced vineyards,
and olive groves can be organized. The tours go down
historic paths, often used by medieval Tuscans, Romans,
and Etruscans. Horses are pure breeds including
Lipizzaner, Anglo-Arab, Sicilian, Maremmano, and
Murgese. Rider ability should be intermediate level or
above. The minimum age is 14 years and a minimum of
four riders is required.
3. Culinary courses in the kitchen of the villa are
available for a minimum of 4 people from
degreed chefs as well as local Italian mamas.
Age-old Tuscan recipes passed down through
generations are taught again using only seasonal
ingredients, grown in the Villa’s organic garden
or on local farms.

attractions including Siena, Florence and the
surrounding
Tuscan
countryside
can be

Villa Ferraia is open all year round and is charming in all seasons. As a result of the verly high
