11. Le Anh Khoa – Plannng Director
Khoa has 8 years experience as a urban planner in Viet Nam. In urban planning, he joined in designing
some projects such as: the residential area, resort-ecological tourism area, green park and recreation
area, ecological urban area, urban center, industrial zone … He is in charge of managing project
including design and develop technical drawings, cooperated with members of urban planning and
infrastructure team from conceptual design to detailed master plan. He also have a thorough grasp of
urban planning standards, regulations and having relationship with government and official authorities
supporting project is carried out quickly.
Le Quang Hieu – Architecture Director
After obtaining a Bachelor of Architecture from the Architectural University of Ho Chi Minh City,
Vietnam in 2004, he spent over 8 years working in a governmental planning institute and international
consultant firms in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Hieu has been involved in a variety projects from
Vietnam, Cambodia and Dubai. Having worked across disciplines in high-rise buildings and planning
projects. As an Architect/Planner, he brings valuable practical design to each project with team.
Luu Quang Thai – Infrastructure Director
Thai has over 9 years experience as a Designer and Project Manager of Infrastructure and
transportation. Thai has worked in several projects with foreign investors such as Singapore, Japan,
Korea, China, Taiwan, Germany… in Vietnam. As VinaPlanners Co Ltd’s Infrastructure Manage, he is
take care of all infrastructure services and assist Project Director on all infrastructure activities.

17. Site Appraisal Malacca River - Malaysia
Site appraisal of a 5 hectare redevelopment site near old shop houses along Malacca River bank. These
shophouses have their warehouses, called godowns (after the Malay word gudang), built at their back, so that
goods can unloaded directly from the river into them. Up until 2001, it was still possible to see boats unloading
timber from Indonesia. Since 2002, these barter trade activities have been shifted elsewhere, and the river is now
maintained solely for tourism purposes.

18. Site Appraisal Pasig River Manila - Philippines
Site appraisal of a 12 ha redevelopment site along the
mouth of the 27-km Pasig River with 47 tributaries in
Metro Manila, capital of the Philippines. Pasig River
connects Laguna Bay to Manila Bay, passing through
eight cities (Manila, Mandaluyong, Makati, Pasig, Pasay,
Taguig Kalookan, San Juan) and one municipality
(Pateros). The Pasig River was once a source of water
and a thriving ecosystem that was used for fishing. It was
a major trading route, serving as the main entry point of
international traders who did business with people of
Manila called Taga-Ilog, meaning, 'river dwellers'. The
main reasons for the River's deterioration were industrial
pollution, solid and liquid waste dumping, and urban
migration.

Every year one out of 100 children in Vietnam are born with congenital
heart defects (CHD). Approximately 30,000 Vietnamese children suffering
from CHD languish on a waiting list to receive life-saving heart surgery.
For the most serious heart defects, 90% of these children will die before age
18 without surgery.
Heartbeat Vietnam began in 2006 to fund heart operations for children
whose families could not afford it.
Since 2006 they’ve saved over 2,500 children in 48 provinces throughout
Vietnam.
Because of these matching funds, the average cost to the donor is just
$800-$1,000 USD.
