The following is the Quiz Format of TCS IT Wiz 2014. Each Regional Quiz format is divided
into two parts
Prelim: This would be a common set of 20 questions for all the teams at the venue. Questions
would be in the form of oral, visual and audiovisual.
Stage Final: The top six teams from the written prelim would qualify for each regional final.
Only the best team from each school will be called on stage in the event of multiple teams from
the same school qualifying for the final.
There will be a unique new format based on the world of internet and the following is the five
rounds of stage final.
1. Flip Boarding : Clockwise round, Six teams will be asked by each question. If they are not
sure with the answer on direct question, They can flip the question.
Correct Answer : +10 points
Correct Answer (Flip) : +5 points
Pass Answer : +10 points
2. Droning : Anticlockwise round, Six teams will be asked by each question. Seven Countries
will be shown on the screen, Team has to choose any one of the country among the choice and
the question will be asked IT related to that country.
Correct Answer : +10 points
Pass Answer : +10 points

3. @TCS : Buzzer Round, Four common questions will be asked for all six teams. Questions
will be asked on current happenings and history of Tata Consultancy Services.
Correct Answer : +5 points
Wrong Answer : -5 points
4. Disruptive Thinking : Buzzer Round, Four common questions will be asked for all six teams.
Five clues will be shown on the screen, some clues contains audio/video and The overall answer
for the question will be given by Quiz master. Teams have to identify two wrong clues which is
not at all related to the overall answer.
Correct Answer per Clue : +5 points
Wrong Answer : -5 points
5. SO LO MO : Buzzer Round and This will be the final round of the quiz. Three common
questions will be asked for all six teams. Questions will be from SOcial, LOcal and MObile
topic.
Correct Answer : +10 points
Wrong Answer : -10 points
