Mobile Voices is an open-source storytelling platform that allows recent immigrants in Los Angeles to create and publish stories about their community directly from their cellphones. The platform aims to be affordable, intuitive, and accessible from any phone and network. It also aims to support stories in multiple languages and from various countries. The platform has conducted workshops to gather input from immigrant communities on desirable features and ways to use mobile phones for storytelling through voice, photos, and videos.
