3. MEET MRS. VREDEVELT
I have been teaching since 2001, was raised in South Orange County, and I am a graduate of San
Clemente High School. I received my B.A. in Psychology, with a minor in Religious Studies, while
playing on a soccer scholarship at Vanguard University of Southern California. I hold a Multiple
Subject Teaching Credential with a CLAD Emphasis, and a Masters in Education from Vanguard
University of Southern California. As a resident of Oceanside, I love the outdoors, surfing,
Disneyland, photography, and spending time with my family. As a 2014 member of CUE, and the
daughter of a computer engineer, I enjoy sharing my love of teaching and learning especially in
the areas of computers and technology. This will be my first year with Guajome Schools and I
will be splitting my time here between Computer Literacy and GPPA Intervention.
4. Course Description
This year-long course will focus on multiple skills in computer technology.
Students will learn about computer equipment, operation, and related
vocabulary, as well as Internet Safety, Search Techniques and Digital Etiquette.
Students will also develop their Keyboarding skills and use Microsoft Office
programs to do projects and create multimedia products.

7. MAKE-UP AND LATE WORK POLICY:
• A student who is absent will have the same amount of days missed to turn in his/her make-up work.
• If an assignment was given before an absence, it is due the day the student returns.
• It is the responsibility of the student to consult the calendar and student folder on the teacher website
or communicate with the teacher to acquire missing work the day they return.
• Late work will only be accepted for one week after the due date.
8. MAKE-UP TEST/QUIZ POLICY:
• Tests or quizzes may be made up during class, lunch, or by appointment upon
a student’s return. If more than ONE week elapses, a zero will be entered in
the grade book for that test. Quizzes may also be made up during class work
time. If a student receives a failing grade on a test or quiz, the student has
ONE week to re-take the test for a high score of 70%.
*Make-up quizzes or tests will not be allowed if a student has an unexcused
absence.

10. STUDENT BEHAVIOR AND EXPECTATIONS
Anything a student does which interferes with his/her ability to learn, impedes
his/her classmates ability to learn, or interferes with my ability to teach is
disrespectful and inappropriate. Therefore, listen carefully, participate in class,
and show courtesy and respect to everyone at all times. Ridicule or rudeness of
any sort will not be tolerated.
*Students must follow all GPA rules as stated in the student handbook.
11. Classroom Expectations Responsibility and Respect
1. Be in your seat when the bell rings or you are tardy, and remain in your seat until
until dismissed
2. Get permission to leave your seat and sign out if you leave class and sign in upon
return
3. Do not eat, drink, chew gum or have food or drink out in class (ask permission to
to drink water away from computers)
4. Keep your passwords to yourself – don’t share – you are responsible for account
activity
5. Do not disturb or disrupt others -Keep hands, feet, objects to yourself – No making
making noises, singing, etc.
6. GPA E-mail is only for school-related business - not for socializing
7. Take care of all Equipment – Nobody in Computer Lab without teacher supervision
