3. A successful first year!
- 4 students maintained a PERFECT GPA:
Daniel Perez, Stephanie Salgado, Alexis Mercado, Victoria Burgo
- Of 650 students, the top 25 were all IB students
- IB students maintained the highest attendance rates of 90% and better with 19
maintaining perfect attendance their entire freshman year!

• The IB Diploma Program is an academically challenging and
balanced program of education with final examinations that
prepare students for success at the university and life beyond.
• Gained recognition and respect from he world’s leading
universities.
12. DP Curriculum
• Must choose one subject from
each of the 5 subject groups.

13. DP Core Requirements
Extended Essay
• Independent research study junior/senior year
• High-level research and writing skills
• Topic of your own choice, but needs to be connected one of the six DP
subject areas
• Graded externally
• DP students receive a supervisor for guidance and assistance
• No more than 4000 words
• Students should spend approximately 40 hours of work on the Extended
Essay over the course of two years
14. DP Core Requirements
CAS
Creativity: arts, and other experiences that involve creative thinking.
Action: physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle.
Service: an unpaid and voluntary exchange that has a learning benefit for the student.
Students are required to:
•plan activities, carry them out and reflect on what they have learned
•undertake at least one interim review and a final review with their CAS adviser
•take part in a range of activities, including at least one project, some of which they have
initiated themselves
•keep records of their activities and achievements
•show evidence of achievement of the eight CAS learning outcomes.
•The guideline for the minimum amount of CAS activity is approximately the equivalent of half a
day per school week (three to four hours per week), or approximately 150 hours in total, with a
reasonable balance between creativity, action and service

“The Personal Project is an opportunity for
students to develop their own strengths and
discover new ones. It allows them to explore
the extent to which they are developing the

becoming lifelong learners, as described in the

It is a requirement of the Middle Years Program (MYP)
