staff, community members and employees
 Gain a clear understanding of learning which
takes place both inside and outside of the
classroom

4.  Ace is a 5 Step Process designed to help you identify
opportunities to get involved at CSUF and to learn
how to document, articulate and utilize your
experiences.

 academics
 career goals
 hobbies and special interests
 communities with which you want to connect with
 Developa plan which will serve as a guide for
your personal exploration.

6.  Get involved early
 Strengthen and develop various skills by
becoming an active participant in your university
and community.
 Research and identify various opportunities on
and off campus

7.  Reflecting on your experiences will help
you to understand the true value of your
involvement
 This step allows you to think of
your involvement and identify:
 what you have learned
 skills you have developed or fine tuned and
how to effectively articulate them on paper

8. Keep a record of your experiences
This step will enable you to
document your experiences on a
Co-curricular Achievement Record
worksheet (CAR). (Available in our
office)

9.  Applythe skills and knowledge you
have gained through your co
curricular involvement in your
career, networking opportunities and
resume
