Introduction Background – OnCourse Lesson Planner, Curriculum Portal built inThe goal is to catalog and organize all digital instructional materials for Elementary, Middle and High Schools Provide the DCPS Teachers access to digital textbooks and resources in a digital storage that has easy access when planning their lessons. The OnCourse Curriculum Portal is a secure document storage that can be accessed through the lesson planner. Included in the Curriculum Portal are the DCPS District Learning Schedules, digital text books/resources, and additional digital resources to help you plan their lessons. Since teachers will have the ability to link these resources directly to their lesson plans, the OnCourse Curriculum Portal provides teachers with a “one stop shop” for planning instruction. The initial training would only take about 30 minutes and will also include a review of the OnCourse My Documents feature which gives teachers the ability to store their own documents that can be linked directly to their lesson plans. At the end of the pilot ( 4-6 weeks), teachers would be asked to provide feedback on the functionality of the curriculum portal.
