Aims Consider your current website usage Evaluate potential of emerging technologies Create an action plan We’ve reviewed the BA wesebsites (central and some branches) and made some assumptions – such as what technologies you might want to use and why - so apologies if some of our assumptions are wrong! One assumption is that branches have limited resources and that you might feel that new technologies will mean more work. Hopefully what we’re going to show you is that web technologies can be very easy to use and will actually save you time as well as benefiting your users. Although we’re going to sound like evangelists for all these technologies, a key point for us is that they should only be used where they meet an identified need – not just for the sake of using technology. So be realistic, pragmatic and think about what will be feasible for you.
