The woman: The youngest granddaughter of
Prada founder Mario Prada, she and her
husband, Patrizio Bertelli, took over the family-
owned luxury goods manufacturer in 1978.
Since then, they've turned it into a fashion
powerhouse, acquiring Jil Sander, Helmut Lang
and shoemaker Church & Co. The fortune:
Family owns 100% of the privately held group,
which posted revenues of $1.4 billion last year.
An initial offering is expected later this year
