implement a price increase averaging 6.9%, effective July 23, 2012.

longer optional. Today’s logistics require advanced tools for rating, routing, documenting and
tracking your freight.
Another area of needed investment is equipment. New equipment costs have increased, especially
for tractors. However, the role of up-to-date equipment in maintaining both a reliable delivery
schedule and safety standards can never be compromised.
Also, you are probably aware of the growing national driver shortage. This necessitates larger
budgets for hiring and retaining qualified drivers who can help maintain our service at a level that
you can count on.
Maintaining fiscal responsibility by balancing costs and income is a principle we’ve learned over
