Over the last 10years, the names of Hurricanes have unfortunately
become common household names in the United States. Katrina,
Wilma, Sandy – to name but a few – symbolise a decade that
witnessed 15 of the costliest hurricanes on record.

4. What does the infographic look at?
The infographic explores the devastating damage caused by
hurricanes over the years between 2004 and 2013.
It also highlights the relief and recovery effects of government
agencies and NGOs, and what preventive measures have
been issued to protect the United States’ most vulnerable
communities from future natural disasters.
