To give a voice to the memories of expatriates of all nationalities and
employment backgrounds, be it business, diplomatic, NGO or military
To conserve the unique source material
To establish a research resource facility for historians worldwide
13. RESEARCH DECLARATION
Undersigned declares that he / she
1. Will only use the collected data for the above described purpose and shall not publish or release publicly any information which could
infringe upon the right to privacy of individuals or be used to the advantage or disadvantage of other involved individuals or legal
entities or third parties.
2. In view of the protection of the interests of individuals that are still alive will not publicize the data without prior consent of the
Director.
3. Will request the consent of any author still alive prior to publication or citation of books in the library collection of the Archive.
4. When no consent for publication has been given, will only use the data for private study and not share with other persons.
5. Will indemnify the Expatriate Archive Centre against any claim made by any third party in view of damages caused by the
consultation of the Archive.
This permission is valid for 12 months. If the research has not finished by that time it may be
prolonged on request.
This permission will have to be shown to the Archives’ staff upon request.
Separate permission will have to be requested to make reproductions of any of the material in the
Archive.
