Administrators will determine if teachers are attempting to use more technology devices in their classrooms as they complete their walk-through and observation pieces. For a follow-up opportunity, teachers can share the positive and negative feedback during their next Professional Development time with the grade level and coach. Because administrators attend these sessions, they can also share what they are seeing as far as strengths and weaknesses in implementing technology and the student engagement that is taking place. Teachers will be provided the opportunity to collaborate and discuss the different ways to implement technology into their subjects taught during the built-in Professional Development provided on Mondays and Wednesdays. CIP pg. 16 Performance Objective 3.1: Ensure all teaching and paraprofessional staff members meet the “Highly Qualified” requirements as set forth in No Child Left Behind. District Goal 1 : Improve student learning and achievement through the integration of technology into instruction across the curriculum. Teachers can complete an online survey at the end of this blog to determine what needs to be improved. Provide teachers an opportunity to communicate to math and literacy ideas through a blog. With our new E4 program, this will allow teachers to communicate and share ideas as they read certain books pertaining to their subject area. CIP – pg. 16 Performance Objective 3.1: Ensure all teaching and paraprofessional staff members meet the “Highly Qualified” requirements as set forth in No Child Left Behind. Goal 1, Strategy 1.1.6 : Enhance the existing learning system for educators to develop and share best practices in the integration of technology in teaching and learning. TX. LRP: TL08- Support the use of emerging technologies aligned with state standards for developing greater levels of collaboration, inquiry, analysis, creativity and content production.
Teachers can complete a professional development evaluation to determine if this workshop met their needs and provided them useful information for differentiation in their classrooms. Provide teachers the opportunity to collaborate and brainstorm using small groups in the classroom. Watch a video of a classroom that uses small groups effectively and discuss how this can be used at least 3 days a week in a classroom. By providing stations with technology, teachers can meet the needs of all students. CIP – pg. 11 Performance Objective 4.1: Base all resource allocations upon a thorough analysis of student performance data annually . Goal 1, Strategy 1.2.4 : Use technology to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners. TX. LRP: TL07 - Integrate student performance data from district/state assessment instruments with electronic curriculum resources to inform and differentiate instruction for every child.
Parents can complete an online survey to determine if this communication tool was helpful for them and their student to better understand the methods and models being taught in the classroom. Each grade level provides a video of a teacher showing how to solve a math problem that the students are working on in the classroom. With the new math program, there is much discussion about the misunderstandings of how to solve a problem with the new models used. This will provide the parents the opportunity to see and learn through our school website, just how to do this . CIP – pg. 21 Performance Objective 6.1: Provide opportunities for all parents to participate in activities as a partner in their child’s educational process. Goal 1, Strategy 1.1.2 : Develop existing online learning solution to provide all students and parents 24/7 access to curriculum and coursework. TX. LRP: TL15 – Implement innovative programs that promote parental involvement, increased communication with parents and community members, and community access to educational resources.
