Yoga classes at YICG are held on Saturdays and cater to Long Island and
Queens Communities in New York. Yoga is a Sanskrit term meaning
“union”. This ancient practice utilizes breathing techniques and various
postures to improve the strength of the body and create a feeling of calm and
relaxation. The various asanas (postures) enable awareness of the body,
breath, mind, and environment.

Through gradual initiation of the students into holding postures and
concentrating on the breath, our yoga teachers guide them to the desired
