3. THE KANGAROO’S LONG LEGS
 The Kangaroo’s long legs is a Structural adaptation,
meaning – relating to an it’s shape, size or
structure.
 The adaptation is the long legs of the kangaroo,
which allow it to move agilely and rapidly without
using much energy, through Australia’s harsh land
conditions. The adaptation helps the kangaroo get
away from any oncoming predators, and conserve
energy while hopping for any purpose.

5. The Cactus’ Spikes
 The adaptation is structural, because the spikes
relate to the cactus’ shape, but it can also be
behavioural, determined by the following
information.
 The adaptation is the cactus’ large spikes, which
scientists think have been developing over
hundreds of years. The adaptation helps the cacti
to survive by;
 Somewhat shading it from the sun, and keeping
the internal heat to a minimum.
 The spikes protect the cactus from herbivores
because it is difficult to chew.
 The spines also channel the infrequent rains to
the base of the plant.
