5. The Kidneys The kidneys are bean-shaped organs that are part of the excretory system They are there to filter the blood which produces urine
6. Ureters We have two ureters because we have two kidneys The ureters carry urine from the kidney to the urinary bladder
7. Urinary Bladder The urinary bladder is where the urine is stored until it is released as waste through the urethra
8. Urethra It is the tube that carries the urine from the urinary bladder to the outside of the body
9. How it works! The kidney filters the blood of any un-needed waste which is urine The urine then goes down the ureters to the urinary bladder The urinary bladder stores the waste until it is released It is then released through the urethra
