6. Philosophy The Athletic Department strives to achieve the same standards of excellence in its athletic program as exists within the school’s academic programs. The Athletic Department recognizes a commitment to serve the school, student-athletes, alumni, and friends. Further, it embraces the concept that the student-athlete is first and foremost a student possessing individual rights, academic abilities, personal interests, and ambitions comparable to those of other members of the general student body.

12. Athletic Dept. Policies All ORHS athletic dept. personnel are expected to follow the policies and regulations contained in the handbook (www.orhsathletics.pbworks.com). They are intended to supplement FHSAA by-laws and regulations, OCPS requirements, as well as other documents pertaining to athletic activities at OR.

24. Eligibility Check on C2C GPA (Cumulative Unweighted; must be 2.0 or higher). Grades are uploaded each semester, not 9 weeks

25. Eligibility Con’t Attendance: The student athlete must live in the Oak Ridge attendance zone set forth by OCPS or have a County transfer with athletic appeals approved Opportunity Scholarship – check on summer participation

26. Eligibility con’t All Physical paperwork must be approved by Athletic Trainer – check C2C Abide all recommendations by Athletic Trainer as far as when student athlete returns from injury
