2. EXPLORING MEMBERSHIP 3
• Discipleship is a lifelong journey of obedience
to Christ which transforms a person’s values
and behavior, and results in ministry in one’s
home, church, and the world.
• In order to create an atmosphere conducive to
“Disciple Making” (Matt. 28:18-20), Nova
Church will have certain expectations of its
members:

• Learning to revere God
• Follow His Law/Word
• Affect Others with His grace

6. EXPLORING MEMBERSHIP 3
• At Nova Church, our vision is to “flesh out” a 1-5-4
principle:
• We have 1 Great Commission;
• We have 5 functions (Evangelism, Discipleship,
Ministry/Missions, Fellowship, & Worship)
• We expect 4 results (Numerical Growth, Spiritual Growth,
Expanding Ministries, & Advancing Missions)
7. EXPLORING MEMBERSHIP 3
• Our vision statement is simple: “Breaking Down
Barriers, Building Bridges, & Sharing the Love of
God”
• The vision that God has given is that we will use every
possible Christ-honoring means at our disposal to meet
needs and share Christ with others regardless of
race, culture, sexual orientation, or station in life.
• In a simple cliché, we catch them and let Him clean
them
