7. The American Express Vacations Pay with Points option is available through Quest for Agents or through your dedicated AEV reservations agent. For additional Information, visit the AEV Agent Tools section on www.myAEV.com .

17. A calculator is available to calculate partial point values. For partial point redemption, the full cost of the booking will be charged and added in the amount to be charged under ‘ Payment Details ’ . When a new point value is entered into the calculator, the conversion-to-dollar amount will be displayed. This is the amount your customer’s credit card will be ‘credited’ in exchange for the point redemption.

18. Once a payment has been processed, a status will be returned. Below is a copy of an ‘ Approved ’ response for Partial Payment with Points. It recaps the amount of points redeemed and the credit amount it equals. Also reflected is the total cost of the trip charged to your customer’s card, and the final cost after the point credit is applied.

19. Below is an example of when points are redeemed to cover the full cost of the trip. The full cost of the package will be automatically entered in the ‘ Charge Amount ’ under the ‘ Payment Details ’ . The ‘ Payment Response ’ for an ‘ Approved ’ transaction displays the amount charged, then credited to the card.

20. Below is an example of when no points are redeemed after the point value was checked. If the ‘ Do not redeem any Membership ’ option is selected, then full payment will be entered in the ‘ Charge Amount ’ under the ‘ Payment Details .’ If you do not wish to apply payment at that time or would like to apply a lower amount or an alternate credit card, click on ‘ Menu ’ to exit the booking and re-enter.
