Mast head
The title of the magazine is
called the mast head. The
mast head tends to be in a
bold text and in bright colour.
This often happens because
this can represent what the
magazine is about and the
publishers want it to stand
out.
Main sell lines
The main sell lines are in a different
colour. This often happens in a magazine
because the sell lines are important but
they aren't as important as the title. The
sell lines can tell you what is in the
magazine or it can tell you information
about winners of prizes or competitions
to enter.
Sky line
The sky line is above the
mast head and it is mostly
in a smaller fount and in a
different colour.
The sky line has a quote
from the magazine with
catches you attention and
makes you want to read
more.
Sell lines
Sell lines are like the main sell line
however they are not as big and
they tend to be in the same colour
as the other sell lines. These can
also tell you what will be included
in the magazine.

Main title ( mast head )
This will be in the biggest fount
size on the page. The magazine
publishers will do this so that the
readers know what the mage is
about. For example in the image
the mast head says “ inside the
mag … ” this shows that the
publishers are showing that you
are reading aboutw what is going
ot be in the magazine
Page numbers
The page numbers are set at the top
of the page because they are an
important pare of the magazine.
They are important because they tell
you what information is on what
page .
Headings
The heading will be in a more bold
text and they will tend to be in a
different colour also because they
will need to stand out from all of the
other text on the page because that
bit tells you what is the information
under that heading or in the
segment of the page.

gives you an idea on where
things are in the magazine

the that page it makes you more
intrigued to what would be
reading and this will then make
the reader want to read more

5. How Top of the pops is presented
1. Every page has a mast head on it which will tell you what the page
is about.
2. Every page also has a main image on the page and these images can
indicate what the page is about.
3. On the contents it will have a list of page numbers and it will tell
you what on that page.
4. The double page spread will probably have the most writing on it
because it will have the most information on it.
