2. Narrative
The narrative doesn’t so much have a big story line but is about an anti
hero causing havoc. I have thought about possibly having him getting
arrested at the end of the video to give it a definitive end and produce
a sense of catharsis. I would use my dad for this because he works in
the police force so he would be able to provide me with authentic
props and an understanding of how arresting somebody works.
3. Lyrics
The lyrics repeat the word ‘heroes’ quite a lot which is something that I
really want to draw on. However, I want to make my video stand out
and challenge the convention of a protagonist and make my character
an anti hero. Additionally, the song is called ‘unstoppable’ which is
repeated lots as well, and I think it would be effective to show my main
character’s ruthlessness and the fact that he is ‘unstoppable’. This is
also a bit ironic because at the end he gets arrested.
4. Setting
For the settings in my video, I have chosen four separate locations because I think
that it is enough to set a good pace in the video, but it is not too overwhelming so
that it would confuse an audience. I will use a studio, an underpass, a boxing gym
and some woods. There are plenty of underpasses in Thornbury and there is one
very close to my house that has a lot of graffiti on it which I think would be very
effective
5. My Actor
I will be using my brother Sam for my music video. I know that he is reliable and
flexible which are ideal qualities when looking for an actor. These pictures were taken
for a photoshoot, so I know that he will be competent at modelling for my digipak and
poster. I think that he would fit the role of the anti hero really well because he has dark
hair and eyes which tends to connote evil and a certain darkness in their personality.
However, it isn’t too scary looking so that an audience wouldn't identify with him
6. Props
In my video, I will be using smoke grenades because I think they are
very visually interesting because they come in so many colours and also
have a foreboding feel about them. I also want to use baseball bats to
add to the theme of violence in my video. This would be a good choice
because they are not extreme things like guns but they still leave a
lasting impression. I have also thought about using a pen knife because
they are legal to carry around with you in the UK and won’t alarm
passers by too much.
7. Filming
I have filmed some test shots to get a good idea of the locations and what
works/ what doesn’t work

As you can see from the video, I have tried to do on-the-beat editing and jump
cuts. However, I want to experiment with some slow mo’s and faster cuts.
My filming days are mainly Saturdays because that is when it is most convenient
for my actor.
So far, my problems have been trying to keep the camera in focus, which is
something I can overcome with more practice.
