2. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. Every day of this holy month, all Muslims fast which means they don’t eat any food, they don’t drink anything and also don’t smoke, from dawn until sunset. So basically during this month Muslims try to do good deeds and try to avoid the bad ones and don’t eat anything or they’re fast is broken and need to make up for it later on. Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam. Ramadan is also the month of forgiveness. What is Ramadan?

3. Ramadan is also the month of forgiveness. Ramadan is a very important month because during this month the Quran was brought down to earth. We are not sure about the exact date but wethinkit was during the last ten days of Ramadan and and odd number. For example, it could be on the 21st, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th and so on. Laylat Al- Qadr

4. Muslims feel closer to their creator during this holy month If they ask for forgiveness there is a big chance that Allah will accept their apology. The Health benefits are that peoplelearn to control themselves a little better and help them live longer for example, addicted smokers or drug addicts. Obese people learn to control they’re bad eating habits which will help them stay healthy. Benefits of Ramadan

6. If you miss a day of Ramadan and do not fast for a couple of days, you are required to fast them later on, after the month of Ramadan. Eid Al Fitr comes right after Ramadan. You are not allowed to fast during this holiday so you can make up for the days you missed after Eid and it has to be before the next Ramadan. 19. Zakat Al Fitr is a charity given to the poor and homeless at the end of Ramadan. The word fitr means Iftar which basically means to eat. This is mandatory and not optional.
