Liquefied air for example is as dangerous as liquid oxygen since it leaves behind a concentrated form of oxygen after it burns away. These substances should be covered to prevent this from happening.

This can prevent dangerous buildup levels. If the substance is flammable such as hydrogen, the buildup can lead to an explosive environment.  All gases should be stored in special areas which can prevent them from being exposed to heat. Most gases get volatile when they are exposed to a heat source and many explode on contact.
