Your research proposal should be the guide/plan for your final research paper. The more
detailed it is, the better your paper will be. The proposal must ask a unique sociological
question which can be addressed using empirical evidence. The project should be limited in
scope such that it is possible to answer the question during the time available in the
semester. The proposal should contain:A research question (this is a question that cannot
be definitively answered but can be researched and on which a position can be formed and
supported with scholarly researchA hypothesis stating what you expect to findA very brief
literature review (2 paragraphs is enough) with at least 4 sources to demonstrate that
you’ve started looking at the appropriate literatureA statement of method that describes
what type of empirical data will be gathered and how you will analyze itIdentify at least five
independent and dependent variable relationships you plan to explore in your research. In-
text citations and a references page formatted using ASA formatbelow I have attached my
organizer to help guide you
