The Apsithia is located in mountainous places especially in Epirus and Thessaly.
The leaves are deep green, narrow and have the shape of a lance. The plant acts
as a bitter tonic, stimulant and emmenagogue. It assists digestion by bitter
stimulation of digestive fluids and simultaneously contains oil. Artemisia(Apsi
thia )also helps in normalization of menstrual bleeding, lowers stress and lowers
swellings in urinary retention.
The plant is found throughout
Greece as cultivated in gardens
and in pots of houses. Basil leaves
have been used traditionally to
treat bites from insects and snakes.
Recommended on migraines,
headaches, just nausea and
nausea of pregnancy. Basil is
generally used in gardening,
perfumes, cooking, pickling and as
a therapeutic material.
The origin is from the Mediterranean but now is grown throughout most of Europe

Spearmint is a type of plant very common in Greece, with nice and pleasant
smell , which is grown in backyards and gardens. Its leaves are used for the
treatment of skin diseases, while still recommended for cases of rheumatism
and tetanus. It is also used as a spice, decoction or aromatic. Finally the
Spearmint is used in SOAP-making , confectionary, etc.
Savory is a plant of the Mediterranean countries. It grows in sunlit places, in
rocky soil and in scrublands. It is a very old herbal remedy for ailments of the
respiratory system and can fight colds in a very quick period of time. It is used
as an excellent spice and aromatic herb in cooking, in salads, sauces and
roasts.
The common thyme is a small aromatic shrub and is found in the
Mediterranean. It grows well in dry conditions, while in irrigated fields it
gives greater production. It helps in the digestion of fatty foods, stops hair
loss, heals burns and wounds, stimulates the immune system etc. Thyme also
has many applications in modern medicines and cosmetics industry
because of its antiseptic and wound healing properties.
Marjoram is self-sown in Greece, but it is
also cultivated. It is widely used in
cooking (is one of the most important
herbs of Mediterranean cuisine) but
also in the pharmacopoeia. Marjoram
is mostly known for its soothing
properties as a digestive for
stomachaches. Finally it is used as
flavoring in meat and fish as well as a
decoction.
Melissa thrives in hillsides of Greece and is an excellent beverage with many
medicinal properties. Melissa is well known for its antimicrobial action,
stimulates the heart and the circulatory system and is considered a very
important contribution to fight viruses. Melissa has also sedative effects , as a
survey showed that reduces stress.
Mint is a medicinal plant and is used in cooking as a seasoning and as a
decoction or essential oil. We can find it all over in Greece and particularly
in Roska Evrytania . Mint stimulates the production of bile and liver
function, is soothing for coughs, and the common cold.
Greek oregano plant is perennial, its quality
is considered the best in the world and is
located in mountainous and rocky areas.
The oregano apart from the
characteristic aroma and flavor that
leaves in food has too many medicinal
properties, with the main active
ingredient carvacrol. It is anti-
inflammatory and bactericide. Oregano
has 12 times more antioxidant activity
than the Orange.
OREGANO
The therapeutic salbia is cultivated in Greece and particularly loves the Sun but is
also found in spots that are shady but bright. It is an excellent stimulant and
cardio stimulant. It stimulates nerves , adrenal glands and circulatory system.
Finally the plant has strong aromatic odor and is cultivated for its medicinal
properties.
SALBIA
Stevia tis a perennial plant, with many branches, and short shrub form. The
plant in its various forms- leaves, extracts, sweetener, - has many
biochemical properties. It has antibacterial, antioxidant, healing properties
and is used for skin treatment as antiseptic. In China teas from leaves of
Stevia are recommended as appetizers, as digestive, for weight loss and to
reduce the desire to smoke and drink.
The tisane is known for its soothing and
relaxing qualities. It is the best beverage
for the afternoon or late evening as our
body relaxes from the tension of
everyday life. It is our ally against the
cold with a pleasant taste and a direct
result. This herb is indicated for those
who have high blood pressure and stress
. We can find it in the forests of the
mountains, especially in northern
Greece.
The Taraxako exist throughout Europe, North America and North Asia. Due to the taste
of the call is considered one of the most valuable medicinal plants. The dandelion
stimulates the functions of the liver, combats constipation, stimulates the secretions

The coriander is a plant of the parsley

Mediterranean region. Has a unique
ability to be combined with too many
spices and balances the flavor and
aromas. O coriander has antioxidant
activity in the human body. The fresh
leaves are used in traditional medicine
to combat anxiety and specifically in
Iranian medicine for insomnia.
The Calendula is an annual plant that reaches a height of 60 cm. The flowers of
Calendula have been considered beneficial for reducing inflammation, wound
healing process fast and antiseptic capabilities. Cleanses the blood, stimulates
circulation and calms stomach spasms. The flowers are edible and are used in
salads or as a garnish to add color. Finally, we find in the European countryside.

  • 2. The Apsithia is located in mountainous places especially in Epirus and Thessaly. The leaves are deep green, narrow and have the shape of a lance. The plant acts as a bitter tonic, stimulant and emmenagogue. It assists digestion by bitter stimulation of digestive fluids and simultaneously contains oil. Artemisia(Apsi thia )also helps in normalization of menstrual bleeding, lowers stress and lowers swellings in urinary retention.
  • 3. The plant is found throughout Greece as cultivated in gardens and in pots of houses. Basil leaves have been used traditionally to treat bites from insects and snakes. Its leaves are used for the treatment of skin diseases, while still recommended for cases of rheumatism and tetanus. It is also used as a spice, decoction or aromatic. Finally the Spearmint is used in SOAP-making , confectionary, etc.
  • 7. Savory is a plant of the Mediterranean countries. It grows in sunlit places, in rocky soil and in scrublands. It is a very old herbal remedy for ailments of the respiratory system and can fight colds in a very quick period of time. It is used as an excellent spice and aromatic herb in cooking, in salads, sauces and roasts.
  • 8. The common thyme is a small aromatic shrub and is found in the Mediterranean. It grows well in dry conditions, while in irrigated fields it gives greater production. It helps in the digestion of fatty foods, stops hair loss, heals burns and wounds, stimulates the immune system etc. Thyme also has many applications in modern medicines and cosmetics industry because of its antiseptic and wound healing properties.
  • 9. Marjoram is self-sown in Greece, but it is also cultivated. It is widely used in cooking (is one of the most important herbs of Mediterranean cuisine) but also in the pharmacopoeia. Marjoram is mostly known for its soothing properties as a digestive for stomachaches. Finally it is used as flavoring in meat and fish as well as a decoction.

It is our ally against the cold with a pleasant taste and a direct result. This herb is indicated for those who have high blood pressure and stress . We can find it in the forests of the mountains, especially in northern Greece.
