What my study is all about. Well I have done this study to learning about the ratana faith and why it is so important to the people of Te Hapua also in my PowerPoint there well be information about T.W. Ratana & his family  More Information about T.W. Ratana This day 29 th  of March 1918 was the first day that T.W. Ratana said the words  Matua, Tama, Wairua Tapu me nga Anahera Pono
Information about T.W. Ratana Well T.W. Ratana full name is Tahupotiki Wiremu Ratana.He has two sons named Arepa & Omeka ,T.W. Ratana was born at midday on the 25 th  of January 1873 at kawau in the Rangitikei district. Also T.W. Ratana is a real faithful & caring person because he did everything he could to help Maori people out in any way he could . And one scary day for T.W Ratana family was when his son Omeka got hurt by piercing his knee with a needle that he had find so T.W.Ratana & his wife  began to pray  for their youngest  son to recovery. And Wiremu was a very good man who had great faith in God an they both prayed for 7 days  then they decided to take him to the doctors in  Wanganui and the first thing the doctor did was wrapped his injury knee  with a bandage then they went back to there homestead an the doctor said if he don’t get better by two days to bring him back but Wiremu knew that he could it doing anything so he  decide to pray for the spiritual doctors to heal there son and they came & there son was soon feeling his normal self in a couple a of days  also one special day for T.W. Ratana was when he got his special power then his life changed & he became a healing person an not only that people really loved T.W. Ratana & supported him in the meeting of getting the parliament seats for the Maori people and T.W. Ratana was healing a lot of people that were blind sided, cant hear ,& disable so with his special power he got when his son was injured he healed them and those people were happy & grateful for how many people he healed through out his life and people still love him even know he is not here.
Questions & Answer. 1)Why is the Ratana faith important to many Maori people especially the people in Te Hapua?well I think the ratana faith is so important to the Te Hapua people because they have followed the ratana every since the were little kids and how they did that was that there grandparents had always talked to them about the ratana faith to them and they have taking them down to Ratana paa reunion that the have and from that day on the are still following the ratana faith by going to church every Sunday especially the important days.  2)Who was the person who establish the ratana faith? T.W. Ratana (Tahupotiki Wiremu Ratana). 4)How did he know to do this? Well I think when he was a farmer his people were going through some hard times so he did the Ratana faith to help them get through those times. 3)Why did he establish this faith? To help the Maori people. 5)Who were the people that he wanted to help? He wanted to help his home land people & Maori people everywhere.   6)What did he have to do with NZ politics? Well He was the one who got the 4 seats in parliament for the Maori people . 7)How has Ratana people followed the faith in Te Hapua? Well the are following the faith by going To church every Sunday & especially the  important days like when he got his powers & when he died also when he was born.
