messaging, video-sharing sites, podcasts, widgets, virtual worlds, and
more.

 To allow the creation or sharing/exchange of information, ideas,
career interests, and other forms of expression via virtual
communities and networks.
 While challenges to the definition of social media arise due to the
broad variety of stand-alone and built-in social-media services
currently available.

is the lifeblood of social media.

 The biggest advantage of social media is better communication.
 A student can connect with anyone at any point in time via Kids Messenger or
WhatsApp.
 They can use such platforms via their smartphone, tablet or computer, and
learners can exchange questions, make phone calls or video calls.
Disadvantages
 It can be an interruption.
 Distractions and poor self-regulation.
 Cyberbullying.
 Posting unsuitable content on social media.
 Lack of face-to-face communication.

5. Conclusion
 social media has plenty of good uses as it allows stories or events that
began locally to gain a global or worldwide attention. This allows to
become an amazing platform to make the world connect and spread
information faster than ever in the history of mankind.
 social networking has been proved to have both positive and negative
effects on our youths.The education curriculum also should be revised so
that it can include social media studies in its disciplines so as to alert
students that they need to be careful in their social media usage.
