Abstract In any industry speed control of an electric drive system is very critical and crucial. Every designer aims at achieving a control methodology having high degree of precision. But industry needs are ever evolving in nature. Hence it is very much essential that along with conventional speed control mechanisms we must also have simple interactive graphical based control strategies. Several algorithms/methodologies have been developed over the years to achieve speed control of motors. In this context by encompassing the usability of Mat Lab, work has been done to control the speed of stepper motor and DC motor using microcontroller. Microcontroller is programmed to achieve bi directional speed control. The main objective of this work is to develop the graphical user interface of motor control through mat Lab guide and the interface of the same with hardware via serial communication. In this research, the design and simulation of an automatic system for temperature control using embedded system in order to automatically control of multi appliances depend on the temperature value. The appliances will be controlled are ventilation, cooling, heating and alert. this is an order to avoid or reduce to human intervention and increase system reliability. An important feature of this automation process is to reduce or eliminate the possibility of relying on the human factor operator for industries, warehouses and laboratories, and to improve working and performance environments. The system in this paper used the microcontroller PIC16F887 as the central control unit, LM35 temperature sensor as a temperature source,16x2 liquid crystal display (LCD) as indicator to display the different system working status an addition to some of drivers, relay and light emitting diodes (LED) as indicators to display the corresponding working appliance driver. The implementation and simulation of the system work has been achieved by using proteus professional software v8.0 and mikroc pro for pic v .6.6.1 software to write the equivalent program and generate .hex file for system working. The result shows in figures 5, 6, 7, and 8 that explain the system working cases.

Abstract Boilers are used industrially both for electric power generation and for supplying process stream in thermal power plants and its control is very important in many field applications. In some situation conventional PID control technique is being used for control purpose. These conventional controllers are not well suitable for some unusual conditions like load disturbances. Fuzzy logic control technique is being used to overcome these problems. A closed loop control system incorporating fuzzy logic has been developed for a class of industrial control systems. A unique fuzzy logic controller (FLC) structured with an efficient realization and a small rule base that can be easily implemented in existing industrial controllers. Fuzzy logic control system is much closer to human thinking and natural language than traditional control systems. This paper describes a fuzzy control technique and its implementation in boiler controls. Here a PIC microcontroller is being used where fuzzy control algorithm is implemented. Two products identical in shape and size are sorted out automatically on the basis of drilled or undrilled product. LED and photo transistor arrangement is used for hole detection. Vertical zigzag conveyor is employed instead of usual flat belt conveyor in order to utilise gravitational force as a driving force for feeding the products. 8051 Microcontroller is used for controlling the sorting mechanism by using program or coding. The cost of project is nearly negligible as it is made from the waste except electrical components used for the project. Sincere efforts are taken to set an example of a inexpensive, reliable and easy to manufacture automated machine. The Paper focuses on the aspect of sorting mechanism with microcontroller programming and the automation tasks and solutions is obtained.

It contains various customized modules for effectively maintaining automobiles and stock information accurately and safely.
When the automobile is sold to the customer, stock will be reduced automatically. When a new purchase is made, stock will be increased automatically. While selecting automobiles for sale, the proposed software will automatically check for total number of available stock of that particular item, if the total stock of that particular item is less than 5, software will notify the user to purchase the particular item.
Also when the user tries to sale items which are not in stock, the system will prompt the user that the stock is not enough. Customers of this system can search for a automobile; can purchase a automobile easily by selecting fast. The current system requires numerous paper forms, with data stores spread throughout the laundry management infrastructure. Often information is incomplete or does not follow management standards. Records are often lost in transit during computation requiring a comprehensive auditing process to ensure that no vital information is lost. Multiple copies of the same information exist in the laundry firm data and may lead to inconsistencies in data in various data stores.
A significant part of the operation of any laundry firm involves the acquisition, management and timely retrieval of great volumes of information. This information typically involves; customer personal information and clothing records history, user information, price of delivery and received date, users scheduling as regards customers details and dealings in service rendered, also our products package waiting list. All of this information must be managed in an efficient and cost wise fashion so that the organization resources may be effectively utilized.
We present the design and implementation of a laundry database management system (LBMS) used in a laundry establishment. Laundry firms are usually faced with difficulties in keeping detailed records of customers clothing; this little problem as seen to most laundry firms is highly discouraging as customers are filled with disappointments, arising from issues such as customer clothes mix-ups and untimely retrieval of clothes. The aim of this application is to determine the number of clothes collected, in relation to their owners, as this also helps the users fix a date for the collection of their clothes. Also customer’s information is secured, as a specific id is allocated per registration to avoid contrasting information.

5. Interfacing examples for Mechatronicsusing

1)The DC motor is normally interfaced using an H-bridge.
2) The motor is such connected that the arrangement of switches will decide
the direction of the motor’s shaft rotation.

6. Interfacing Stepper Motor
1)Stepper motor is motor useful for moving things in small
increments.
2)The step sizes range from 0.9° to 30 °.
3)A stepper motor is stepped from one position to the next by
changing the current through the fields in the motor.
4)The PIC port provides very less current .Hence it is not able to
drive the stepper motor coils.

10. Temperature sensor LM35
1)Temperature is the most measured process variable in industrial automation.
2)Temperature sensor is used to convert temperature value to an electrical value.
3) Temperature sensors are the key to read temperatures correctly and to control
temperature in industrial applications.
4)The LM34 is precision integrated circuit temperature sensors, whose output
voltage is linearly proportional to the Fahrenheit temperature.
5)The LM35 is precision integrated circuit temperature sensors, whose output
voltage is linearly proportional to the Celsius temperature.
6) The output of the pin of the LM35 sensor can be connected to the ADC of the
PIC microcontroller and hence measure the temperature.
